Terms of Use

Effective date: October 13, 2026

These terms apply to The Workshop’s website, interest list, and online account features. The Workshop is a proposed industrial makerspace and skilled-trades/manufacturing workforce-development platform in Utah.

1. Pre-opening information

The Workshop is in development. Descriptions of the facility, equipment, classes, training, memberships, prices, benefits, and opening timing are proposals and may change. Website information is not a promise of a particular opening date, facility, or service.

2. Interest list and accounts

Joining the interest list or creating an account expresses interest or provides account access. Neither action purchases a membership, guarantees a reservation or facility access, activates a membership, or authorizes payment. Use accurate information, keep your account credentials secure, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Reservations and future payments

Public reservations, membership activation, billing, and payment collection are currently disabled. A future $0 reservation, if separately offered, is not a paid membership and does not authorize a charge. The Workshop will not collect membership payments until the physical facility is operational, affected members have been notified, and applicable payment collection has been separately authorized and enabled. Separate terms and explicit authorization will apply before future paid membership, payment-method storage, classes, equipment use, or facility access.

4. Safety and future participation

A website account does not certify you to use any equipment. Future participation may require training, safety certification, applicable participation agreements, and compliance with operating and equipment policies, presented before participation.

5. Acceptable website use

Do not use the website for unlawful purposes, submit intentionally misleading information, misuse another person’s account, interfere with the service, or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data.

6. Website content and external services

The Workshop’s branding and website materials belong to The Workshop or their respective rights holders. You may view the website for personal or business evaluation. Other uses must respect applicable rights. External links and service providers have their own terms and privacy practices.

7. Privacy and communications

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information. Account creation does not itself constitute consent to optional marketing. Applicable communications choices will be presented separately, and marketing communications will include an unsubscribe option where applicable.

8. Availability and updates

Website features may be unavailable during maintenance or development. We may update these website terms as services change, publish the revised effective date, and present any additional agreement required for a new service before you use it.
